I was a little disappointed in Margo’s second book. True, it is nicely produced, with good illustrations and instructions. Margo has a real talent for combining different textures and colours to make her projects.

The book is a felting equivalent to a book of knitting patterns, and if you don’t want to make the projects, then the book has only a few tips to help you make your own designs. If you look on the front and back cover, that is mainly what you will find in the book.

An easy way to have improved the book would have been to include different variations of colour of the same projects, or the same felting ideas used on different sizes or different objects. Personally I am not about to make needle felted tea cosies, or lampshades, as shown here.

There are some really creative projects in this book — I only wish I had a machine to felt with instead of just one needle!
